Texas AFT represents all non-administrative certified and classified public school employees in traditional public schoolsteachers, counselors, librarians, diagnosticians, custodians, cafeteria workers, bus drivers, nurses, teaching assistants, clerical employees, and the other men and women who work so hard to make our schools work. We also represent employees in universities, colleges and community and junior colleges.

  1. Check the pop-down list of local unions below to see if your district has a local affiliate. If so, you will join the local organization and automatically become a member of the Texas AFT statewide organization. If you are a retiree, join Retiree Plus!

  2. If your district is not on the list, you will be joining the Texas AFT Associate Membership Program, a group of statewide members served by local/regional offices throughout the state. Join online here.
