With the signature of President Joe Biden this week, the $1 trillion infrastructure bill will provide funding for improving the nation’s roads, bridges, ports, and a host of other badly-needed projects—including some funding for rural schools. However, wrangling over the price tag ultimately left a proposed $100 billion for school campus modernization out of the final package. Still included, however, is funding for electric school buses at $5 billion over five years.

The loss of proposed infrastructure funding means passing the Build Back Better plan is more important than ever. With expanded pre-K and healthcare options, the plan would form a solid foundation to reinvest in our country and bolster opportunities for working Americans. But the new framework for Build Back Better needs your help to pass Congress.
