Statewide Listening Tours

Texas AFT is hitting the road for a 15-stop statewide listening tour, giving educators, school support staff, and community allies a direct line to shape the fight ahead of the 2027 legislative session.

At each stop, members and non-member allies alike are invited to share what's happening in their schools and communities — from working conditions to funding gaps to the everyday pressures shaping public education in Texas.​

 

What we hear helps shape our strategy, turning local stories into statewide leverage as we push toward a fully funded, protected, and respected public education system. Our kids are worth too much to leave any voice out of this fight.
