Pre-K-12

Teachers are not the sole employees who make our schools run, in addition to educators, Texas AFT represents all non-administrative staff in a pre-K-12 campus.

We work to better the professional lives of educators by advocating for pro-public education policy and laws; ensuring educators understand their rights and responsibilities; and providing ongoing professional development opportunities.

School support personnel — from paraprofessionals to cafeteria workers to bus drivers — make our public schools run. They are valuable employees and should be treated as such. All non-administrative school staff are invited to join our union.

We provide local and regional offices across the State of Texas. Areas that are still developing union density are eligible for the Associate Membership Program, find where you belong through our join page or by browsing below.
