Governor Abbott Gun Violence Report Card

Text says, "Report Card: Greg Abbott's Response to Uvalde. Teachers and kids are terrified to return to Texas classrooms because Governor Abbott failed to order any meaningful improvements for school safety. Respecting kids and educators starts with doing everything possible to make sure they come home safely at the end of the day." The report card shows failing grades on the following items: call an emergency legislative session to address gun safety; demand the legislature raise the legal age for buying assault rifles from 18 to 21; hold department of public safety officials accountable for waiting for 77 minutes to respond to the Uvalde shooter; comfort, support, and show sympathy for families when attending funerals of victims; do everything in his power to prevent another school tragedy."
