Pastors for Texas Children goes full throttle outlining the dangers of charter-school expansion

Pastors for Texas Children’s Charles Foster Johnson joined education activist Dianne Ravitch for an hour-and-a-half online conversation yesterday exploring the threat charter-school expansion poses to Texas and the nation.\

While it’s a long conversation, for sure, Johnson keeps the debate fiery and impassioned. As a pastor and now executive director of the Pastors for Texas Children, Johnson has become a leading expert and spokesperson on the need to focus on our real public schools instead of fueling the proliferation of charters. His organization’s mission is to recruit churches and faith-based communities in supporting public education. Ravitch is a former U.S. Commissioner of Education and co-founder of the Network for Public Education, a leading public-school advocacy organization.
