Report shows massive displacement of students caused by charter-school closures

The Network for Public Education continues its work on examining the “Broken Promises” of the charter-school movement with additional statistics on charter closures. The report last week noted that between 1999 and 2017 “more than one-quarter of the charter schools closed after operating for five years, and about half closed after 15 years, displacing a total of more than 867,000 students.”
